The Dope Show

Detroit’s own rising emcee Valid drops the lyric video for his latest single “Old Tale” produced by Eddie Logix.

Illustrated by legendary Detroit graphic artist Mr. Cliffnote, the visual brings to life Valid’s tale of a guy down on his luck who soon meets an unlikely but familiar fate.

The song itself features soothing background vocals from Aaron Taylor, a super smooth trumpet by Jimmy Smith, and some words of wisdom from John Wize.

You can find the track on Valid’s recently-released album, Mihajlo, that’s available on the streaming service of your choice here.
