The Dope Show

Portland artist Mat Randol releases his second project of the year titled Aries EP.

The 4-track project features production by Lancaster, PA native Nappy Notez who laced Aries with a booming yet laid-back soundscape.

Throughout the EP, we hear a more solemn and reflective Mat as he discusses personal topics like the pressures of succeeding and being influential in his city.

Still bringing the heat lyrically, he does a dope job of letting us into his mind and communicating his dual thoughts about life.

A standout track on Aries is “Take My Time” which features Aaron OBryan Smith and V.O.I.C.E. who reassures their love interests that they don’t have anything to worry about.
